FUNDING

Mental Health America is a charitable, not-for-profit organization that relies heavily upon the financial support of the community. Since the MHA is recognized as a 501(c)(3), all donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

 

Funding for the programs and services provided by Mental Health America comes from a variety of sources, the most important being the United Way and United Fund organizations within Sheboygan County.  The MHA receives allocations from the following:

  • Greater Random Lake/Adell United Fund

  • United Way of Sheboygan Falls

  • Cedar Grove United Fund

Other important sources of funding include memberships by “Friends of Mental Health America,” grants and foundations, as well as donations from the public.
