FUNDING


Mental Health America is a charitable, nonprofit organization that relies on contributions from the community. Since MHA is a 501(c)(3) entity, all donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Funding for the programs and services provided by Mental Health America comes from a variety of sources, the most important being the United Way and United Fund organizations within Sheboygan County. MHA receives allocations from the following:

 

Oostburg Area United Fund
Greater Random Lake/Adell United Fund
United Way of Sheboygan Falls
Cedar Grove United Fund
Sheboygan and Plymouth Area United Way

 

Funding Sources for Programs: 63% United Way and United Fund, 24% Donations, 4% Special Events, 3% Grants, 3% Sales to Public, and 3% Miscellaneous.

 

   


Other important sources of funding include memberships by “Friends of Mental Health America,” grants and foundations, as well as donations from the public.
