Think of Mental Health America as your sourcefor information about good mental health and mental illnesses. The MHA can provide you with pamphlets, books and videos on a variety of mental health topics.  Help is also availablefor internet searches on hard-to-find topics.

 

The resource library can be used by the general public as well as professionals during normal business hours which are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by other arrangement.  No appointment is necessary and items are provided at no charge. Books, videos, and cassettes may be signed out for a two-week period.  A video player is available for use within the office for those who may need it to view videos.

 

Information is available on such things as stress management, the value of humor, relationships, clinical depression, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, suicide prevention, and other mental health topics.

 

Special offerings within the library include:

  • A collection of videos on mental disorders in Spanish.

  • A video and book collection on the topic of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity disorder.

  • Current and back issues of the Harvard Mental Health Letter

  • A drug reference guide

  • National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression (NARSAD) Newsletter
